2 words Falafel Burger if you see that on the special board you go in and you get it!!! Amazing whether you are a vegetarian or not you will enjoy this. So delicious and such a large portion. Thank you for being so consistent with the food and service.

Little gem amongst all the OOB craziness. The two times I have been here the service has been great and very friendly, the food has been excellent (try the fritters or scallop app) and it has not had tons of people acting a fool. I also love the window seating with the open air bar stools. Each time I go to OOB, which isn't very often, I would pick this place for dinner.

I don't understand the positive reviews. Our meal was terrible. How a pub like restaurant can mess up chicken fingers is beyond me, but these were gross. Tasted like a bad store brand that were microwaved. We all felt sick after our meal too. It's a great location, but service was so-so and our meals were just bad.

We stopped in here for a quick bite and a beer as we were leaving OOB. We really enjoyed this place. Service was great. Our scallops with balsamic drizzle were awesome!!! Garlic cheesy bread was great too. Sit near the window and watch the beach traffic come and go!!!

Fantastic food! Try the mussels and the fish and chips. Great place to eat, take the kids and enjoy a upscale meal in Old Orchard Beach! Impeccable service.

I am so furious right now. My family and I just went here for dinner and now I am so sick. I got the seafood risotto and it gave me the worst stomachache and vomiting. It tasted ok while I was eating it, the risotto was a little undercooked but I thought it was fine. But it made me so sick to the point where I had to call a taxi to bring me back to my hotel half a mile down the road since my stomach hurt so bad. Service was friendly but slow, I DO NOT recommend ever going here.

Big Daddy's was my favorite spot in Old Orchard Beach on my recent vacation there. I wasn't expecting much when I saw their sign for 50 cent wings. We had some time to kill so I dragged my nephews & brother in law here to try it & we were not disappointed. Big Daddy's only has two wing flavors: buffalo & thai chili. The buffalo were a bit spicy & unique from other sauces I've had. Their thai chili was excellent but my favorite local wings place has the best. Still pretty damn good though. They have 6 taps two of which are local. I had the Sebago red ale which was pretty damn tasty to wash down my meal. I was so impressed with Big Daddy's wings that I dragged my whole family there the next morning for breakfast. It's tough to please my mother & my wife (plus the rest of of families) but they did it. Their French toast was so amazing that my wife wishes she could make hers as well as theirs. The Texas toast is so buttery & just melts right on your tongue with each bite. And my 73 year old mother complimented our waiter on how great the coffee was too. Big Daddy's might seem like another dive bar in OOB but it's not. If you want a place that has soul along with great food & drink you have to check this place out.

We have been coming here since they opened the doors a few years back. The food has changed. The Lobster Omelette was moist but today dry. I ask for Swiss Cheese and it came with none. The Corned Beef Hash was the biggest disappointment dry out an not even the same ingredient as last year. It was killer last year this year it's no better than canned Hormel. Service was good the Bloody Mary's were good had two. The highlight of the meal. Still a favorite spot but truly disappointed this trip on my yearly trek to Old Orchard Beach Maine.

I'm shocked that this got such good reviews we went here yesterday with a group of 6 and 3 of us got the $18 lobster roll which was the saddest looking lobster roll, for Maine being known for there lobster this was horrible and not worth the $18 if your looking for good seafood downtown go to Oceanside across from the pier entrance. The only reason this review gets two stars is for the service the servers were very nice. Would be better if there food could complement that.

Came with a party of 4. Waited for a table and waited and waited with no acknowledgement. Finally we were seated by the bartender who was the only employee in the place who was bartending and serving 5 tables. The wooden benches and seats are very crooked and uncomfortable. Zero ambiance. The food seemed highly rated but we were disappointed. Appetizer served with the meal...entree orders were not correct (added tomato to one meal when requested no tomato). It was a a cluster f@co and wAste of time. Would not recommend

Came here Saturday with a full bachelorette party and we were delighted by the service and food at Big Daddy's. The food is fresh and extremely high quality, especially compared to some of the other establishments near the pier. The architecture inside the building was nice, especially the unexpectedly tall high ceiling inside the venue. Big Daddy's has excellent, excellent appetizers. We ordered a round of tasty mango margaritas and drank them with crab cake appetizers. One person got the Asian open-steamed-bun and was nice enough to share it with the rest of us who were salivating over it. We all ordered the delicious bacon-wrapped meatloaf sandwich for our meal except for one girl who got a garlic brisket sandwich. Sandwiches came with flavored fries, and although the sriracha were good the standout was the salt and malt vinegar. If I ever come back to Old Orchard for another weekend of shenanigans, I will definitely visit Big Daddy's again.

After looking at the menu and checking out the atmosphere through the open window, Big Daddy's got our vote for dinner and we were happy that it did. It was exactly what we were looking for on our first night in Old Orchard Beach. The beverages were cold, the atmosphere was casual, the decor was modern and best of all, the menu was interesting. We started with scallops wrapped in prosciutto. They were a clear winner. The balsamic reduction drizzled on the plate was the perfect compliment to the seafood. My husband chose the Big Daddy Reuben burger which was almost my choice. 8 ounces of Angus Beef, baby Swiss, house made Jalapeno Cole Slaw and Thousand Island Dressing on butter grilled marble rye made the most perfect, yet messy, burger. Thankfully, we always share with each other. I was at the Coast so seafood it was for me. I chose the Lobster BLT. It was described on the menu as Butter dipped pulled Maine Lobster, apple-wood smoked bacon, lettuce and tomato with a house-made Lemon Garlic Aioli. I asked for my Aioli on the side so that the taste of the lobster was not masked. The BLT was served with the Aioli on the sandwich and the waitress noticed it as she served me. I would have eaten it anyway; but she whisked it away to make it right before I could tell her that. Quickly, the owner of the restaurant came over, introduced himself and apologized and comped me a drink. It was a totally unnecessary yet completely appreciated gesture. The food was delicious and we were absolutely satisfied with our choice. Big Daddy's showed me that they appreciate their customers and will go out of their way to make sure that they leave satisfied. We are planning another trip to Old Orchard in July and you can bet that we will go back to Big Daddy's and have another wonderful meal.

Super slow service with decent food, but certainly not what I would consider to be 5 star quality. We went around noon last Wednesday, there were two couples at the window bar having drinks and sandwiches, and also a family of 6 waiting for food at a table, no one else came in after we sat down. The bartender/waitress took our drink orders and left us with some menus to look at, when she returned to deliver our drinks she didn't take our food order but said she would be right back. She busied herself making some drinks for the window patrons and refilling drinks for the table next to us, but still didn't take our food order. After around 15 minutes a guy came from the backroom and saw us sitting with the menus piled up, he asked if she had taken our order and we said no, so he said he would send her right over, she came over about 5 minutes later. We all ordered breakfast, my son and I ordered the Eggs Benedict which the menu said it came with "ham and Hollandaise sauce". We requested they use regular bacon in place of the ham (something that we do all the time without a problem), the waitress said it was fine to make the substitution. Unfortunately however when the dish was served to us, it still had the ham instead of bacon. When we asked about the mistake, the waitress told us she thought we didn't want Canadian bacon (which wasn't even a menu option) so she served it with ham. What? My daughter ordered a yogurt dish that was to be served with fresh fruit and topped with granola... it was served to her without any granola. My husband had an egg & sausage dish with he enjoyed very much, he especially liked the sausage patty. We also ordered sides of toast, but no butter or jelly was brought to the table. The restaurant was completely empty by the time the food came out and the waitress never returned to our table after she delivered our food, we got no coffee refills, nor did she ask if we needed anything else... nothing. She just sat behind the bar and staring at a computer, she never even looked up when we called out to her to ask for my son's missing utensils and some butter for our toast. My husband eventually had to go over to her and ask her for these things, we also had to go over to her to get the check, she never got up off her butt the whole time! During the time we were eating she made a couple of nasty comments (from her seat) to the man in the backroom (they appeared to be arguing), she had an attitude that made us feel like we were bothering her when we had to ask for utensils, butter and the bill. It seemed to us that she really didn't want to be a waitress, just a bartender who prefers to stay behind the bar. The food that we were served was pretty decent overall, if you don't count the mistakes. But it took so long to get served, that by the time we finally got out of there our parking meter had expired and we received a $25 ticket. We just had not planned on breakfast taking over an hour and a half. We will not be returning, it just wasn't that good and certainly was not worth all the aggravation.

Love the eccentric menu and quality of the food. Bloody Mary's are fantastic making this a great place to stop on a morning bicycle ride for breakfast. Open and airy atmosphere to people watch and enjoy the outside. I have always experience good service.

I ordered short ribs yesterday with blue cheese mashed potatoes and they were awesome! Fresh, flavorful food with friendly wait staff. The owner made his way around to see how everything was. Now I want to go back to try their breakfast! Went back 2 days later for breakfast and it was amazing. I ordered the breakfast burrito with house made corned beef hash. It was a huge, fresh burrito with a crispy flour tortilla and the corned beef hash was inside with eggs, green peppers, onions, cheese and fresh house made salsa on the side. It also came with fresh fruit and home fries. It is my favorite place in OOB!

This place is great. The service is so incredibly friendly, they appear to be the only restaurant in Old Orchard Beach that serves breakfast food after noon, and the pancakes are homemade and absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back on my next trip to the area!

Not really surprised this place hasn't been reviewed yet, first off it seems to be new or under new ownership, second in a town awash with tourist trap seafood joints and poutine stands, Big Daddy's New American menu is kinda out of step with OOB. This place is cooking at a higher level than anybody in Old Orchard right now, short rib risotto fritters and slow cooked bourbon glazed pork belly served over a poached egg, come on, I'll take that over your everyday beach fare any day. And to put it over the top Big Daddy's prices are right in step with every other place in the area and the quality of the food is a step above.

Again - how is this not a top OOB spot? The kid in the kitchen at dinner can cook. Servers are overwhelmed, but extra friendly. Pork brisket, scallops, watermelon salad - all excellent and miles ahead of the other boardwalk spots.

My boyfriend and I recently spent a night in OOB while passing through. I had read some reviews re: Big Daddy's before we got to OOB late on a Saturday night. After checking into our hotel, we went looking for some food and cocktails. It was getting close to Columbus day so our options were limited. Upon walking by, the place was open, but regretfully we didn't stop for dinner because it looked "dead". We ended up at a mediocre Irish joint on the pier...BUT, we did stop in for breakfast in the morning, and oh my, was it awsome! We sat at the bar and our waitress was great, friendly and didn't rush us at all, which is as huge pet peeve of mine. They also play awesome music! The coffee came quickly and hot (they even had pumpkin spice). He got the eggs benny and I got the corned beef hash and eggs, both were awesome. They make their own hash, which was delish and my eggs were perfect. But also, the English muffin! Oh my, probably the best I've ever had! Seemed to be a lot of locals in the place, which is always a good thing. A couple of guys next to us were enjoying eachothers company over bloody Mary's which I would have loved had I not had a big day ahead of me! All that said, you should definitely go here!

What a disappointing meal. We chose Big Daddy's based on the reviews. Even though we were practically the only diners there, service was slow. The food was below average. None of the three of us enjoyed our food. I had a pork chop which was obviously left over and reheated. It was dried out and not tasty. I do not recommend this place!
